Hidden Rules & Critical Conditions

• Funded stage has a 3-minute news trading restriction — rules page says 'Allowed' [Critical]: The IC Funded rules and pricing page lists 'News Trading Allowed' for both the 2-Step and 1-Step plans. However, the FAQ reveals: 'Once an account reaches the Funded stage, a 3-minute cool-off period applies for high-impact news releases. Traders cannot open or close trades within 3 minutes before or 3 minutes after a high-impact economic news announcement.' This includes NFP, CPI, interest rate decisions, and central bank announcements.
• 1-Step: Flatten on Friday — hard breach if positions remain open at Friday close [Critical]: The 1-Step Accelerated plan requires all positions to be closed before the end of the Friday trading session. This applies to both the challenge and the funded stage. Holding any open position into the weekend = immediate account breach. This restriction is listed in the rules table but is not prominently communicated on the pricing/homepage.
• First payout requires 5 profitable days (≥0.5% each) plus 14-day wait [Critical]: The first payout eligibility requires: (1) at least 14 calendar days from funded account activation, AND (2) at least 5 profitable trading days. A 'profitable day' is specifically defined as a day where closed positions generate a net positive balance increase of at least 0.5% of the account value. On a $10K account, that means each qualifying day must produce at least $50 in profit from closed positions.
• RISE is the only payout method — no crypto or bank wire from IC Funded directly [Warning]: IC Funded processes all payouts exclusively through the RISE platform. Traders must register a RISE account before receiving any payout. There is no direct cryptocurrency, bank wire, or other payout option offered by IC Funded. RISE is a third-party global payout platform that supports various withdrawal options internally.
• EA/automated strategy accounts subject to elevated investigation risk [Warning]: The IC Funded shared rules explicitly state: 'Accounts using VPS, scripts, or other automated strategies are more likely to be subject to investigation and potential termination.' EAs are technically allowed but singled out for heightened scrutiny. 'Our Risk Management team reserves the right to terminate any account at any time if we believe the strategy or setup employed by the trader is intended for exploitation.'
• No scaling program — capital capped at challenge account size indefinitely: IC Funded currently has no scaling plan. The FAQ states: 'Scaling or capital allocation options may be introduced as the platform continues to develop.' There is no mechanism to increase funded account size. Traders who pass a $25K challenge remain funded at $25K permanently until the firm introduces a scaling program.
